Dr. Madalyn Otto

Dr. Otto is a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) and certified Functional Medicine provider (IFMCP) focusing in the treatment of complex chronic illness. After completing her bachelor’s degree in New York, she earned a 4-year, naturopathic medical degree from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, completing a competitive residency in naturopathic family medicine in Arizona thereafter. While seeing patients in private practice, she simultaneously earned an esteemed certification in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Dr. Otto is also a HeartMath Certified Professional and can teach patients emotional self-regulation and stress management tools using Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Cardiac Coherence monitoring.

Dr. Otto works with patients to identify the root causes of their symptoms and reverse them. Applying her unique combination of clinical background and advanced training, Dr. Otto is able to achieve enhanced clinical outcomes with patients by bridging together individual health characteristics such as environmental factors, genetic susceptibilities and lifestyle to design effective treatment protocols individualized to patient needs. She uses a diverse, evidence-based toolbox of natural and conventional therapies to achieve vast improvements and/or remissions of a wide array of health conditions

Treatment modalities commonly used include nutritional and diet therapy, orthomolecular medicine, lifestyle therapy, classical homeopathy, and herbal/botanical medicines. Functional medicine tests are often part of her evaluation with patients and include cellular micronutrient testing, toxicity testing, advanced hormone testing, food sensitivity and intolerance tests, comprehensive stool/digestive analysis, all in addition to conventionally used lab tests. She lectures to businesses and the public on wellness topics and is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and the NH Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
